After his death, owners of his former bar, “Toby Keiths I Love this Bar” now “String String” at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, put together a Toby Keith tribute concert featuring several local country bands and singers. At rehearsal for the show, these musicians met singer: James Hewitt, a Toby Keith Look and Sound alike. It was decided that he would sing all the songs for the show and the group performed a 2 hour tribute concert on Feb 18 in Foxboro. The show was a huge success, and Toby Keith fans in attendance remarked how much James looks and sounded like the real Toby Keith. Turns out that James had been singing Toby Keith music for years and had perfected his classic southern drawl and humourous delivery of all-time classic songs in country music. At the urging of many who saw the show, the group decided to put together an official Toby Keith tribute band: Red Solo Cup, a tribute to the legendary Toby Keith. The band now performs most of Toby’s catalogue including (20) #1 hit country songs including “Shoulda Been a Cowboy”, “How Do You Like Me Now”, Who’s Your Daddy” the patriotic “Courtesy of the Red White & Blue” and “American Soldier” and many more. The band recently starred at the Indian Ranch Local Country Music festival, stunning the audience with its spot on replication of this timeless music.

A true original of the Boston stand-up explosion, Sweeney came up alongside Lenny Clarke and Jay Leno at the legendary Ding Ho in the early 1970s—ground zero for a comedy movement that would shape the city’s voice for decades. He was among the first Boston comics to break into television with a starring role on Park Street Under, and went on to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and Late Show with David Letterman. In Boston, he became a household voice as a beloved morning radio host on WZLX 100.7 FM. Over a thirty-year career of stand-up tours, sitcom roles, film appearances, and radio, Sweeney’s comedy has traveled far. But no matter where he goes, it remains so thoroughly, unmistakably Bostonian that he almost deserves his own stop on the map. Most of the “weird” things that happen to Howie Mason happen within the family unit. Those weird things and the family offer up a “nice mix of material” for his audience. Howie has brought his clever brand of humor to clubs and casinos all over the Northeast. Howie’s distinctive views on everyday topics such as marriage, parenthood and childhood have made him a crowd favorite all over New England. A Boston-based comic, Jack Burke has rapidly emerged as a fresh voice of New England’s storied comedy circuit. He charms comics and audience members alike with his confessional style and irreverent takes on sobriety, intimacy, and family life. He is a staple of independently produced shows and clubs like the world renowned Laugh Boston and Nicks. Jack’s made terrible mistakes everywhere from Portland, ME to Jamaica that will make you laugh and feel grateful you’re not related to him.
