Married to Jimmy Hurley and having five kids, Christine is never at a loss for comedic material. Like any great comedian, Christine has an innate ability to see humor in “everyday” situations. For years, she entertained family, friends and neighbors in their kitchens, at barbeques and the grocery store aisles. The only difference now is she uses a microphone and a stage. Christine’s maiden voyage into the world of stand up comedy was an open audition in New York City. The television network Nick at Nite was looking for “AMERICA’S FUNNIEST MOM.” She figured if it didn’t go well, no one in New York would have known who she was anyway… Turns out it went well! Out of thousands of entries, Christine was selected to be a finalist on the nationally televised show. The producers of the show included Carol Leifer (Seinfeld show producer), Jeff Singer (talent scout, Montreal Comedy Festival), Jeffrey Ross (Comedy Central roast master) and actress Sandra Bernhardt. He was featured on the internationally syndicated Steve Katsos Show and was a semi-finalist in the Portland and Boston Comedy Festivals. Aquanett
Aquanett Samuel Slater’s Hall │ Saturday, September 28, 2024 │ Doors 7:30 PM / Show 8:00 PM 21+ Event / Valid ID Required While the Aquanett experience is anchored by the sound of the 80s metal bands like Bon Jovi and Whitesnake, don’t expect a run-of-the-mill club band that just sits in the corner. Quite the opposite- this is one of the most decadent and colorful tribute acts today. Imagine Hollywood…the Sunset Strip…when bands like Motley Crue and GnF ruled the world, This is the scene Aquanett re-creates night after night. With a complement of lights, special effects and costumes, the full production of an 80s rock concert is brought to life on stage. It is wild, flashy and full of the decadence that marked the 80s rock. It’s the sound, the clothes, and of course, the hair…but most of all, it’s pure fun. Seeing is believing, but you know that Aquanett is truly an experience, unlike anything you have seen before…or at least since 1991!
