Dubbed by one admirer as “the undisputed King of Boston comedy,” Steve Sweeney doesn’t just perform in Boston—he is Boston. A true original of the Boston stand-up explosion, Sweeney came up alongside Lenny Clarke and Jay Leno at the legendary Ding Ho in the early 1970s—ground zero for a comedy movement that would shape the city’s voice for decades. He was among the first Boston comics to break into television with a starring role on Park Street Under, and went on to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and Late Show with David Letterman. In Boston, he became a household voice as a beloved morning radio host on WZLX 100.7 FM. Over a thirty-year career of stand-up tours, sitcom roles, film appearances, and radio, Sweeney’s comedy has traveled far. But no matter where he goes, it remains so thoroughly, unmistakably Bostonian that he almost deserves his own stop on the map.

Most of the “weird” things that happen to Howie Mason happen within the family unit. Those weird things and the family offer up a “nice mix of material” for his audience. Howie has brought his clever brand of humor to clubs and casinos all over the Northeast. Howie’s distinctive views on everyday topics such as marriage, parenthood and childhood have made him a crowd favorite all over New England.

A Boston-based comic, Jack Burke has rapidly emerged as a fresh voice of New England’s storied comedy circuit. He charms comics and audience members alike with his confessional style and irreverent takes on sobriety, intimacy, and family life. He is a staple of independently produced shows and clubs like the world renowned Laugh Boston and Nicks. Jack’s made terrible mistakes everywhere from Portland, ME to Jamaica that will make you laugh and feel grateful you’re not related to him.
